1. Estimates Only
All monetary figures displayed in Wrap Times — including but not limited to gross earnings, overtime calculations, double time calculations, triple time calculations, meal penalty amounts, and expense totals — are ESTIMATES provided for informational and reference purposes only.
2. Not Financial or Tax Advice
The calculations provided by Wrap Times do not constitute financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. The App does not account for:
- Federal, state, or local income taxes
- Social Security, Medicare, or other payroll deductions
- Union dues or agency fees
- Health insurance, retirement contributions, or other benefit deductions
- Workers' compensation or disability insurance
- Garnishments or other withholdings
- Any other deductions that may apply to your specific employment situation
2A. Tax Estimation Features
The App includes optional tax estimation features ("Tax Snapshot") that display estimated federal income tax, state income tax, and self-employment tax based on standard tax brackets and the information you provide (filing status, home state, W-2/1099 classification). These estimates:
- Are based on publicly available tax bracket data that may not reflect the most current rates
- Do NOT account for itemized deductions, credits, AMT, or other tax provisions specific to your situation
- Do NOT consider multiple income sources, investment income, or spousal income
- Are NOT a substitute for professional tax preparation or IRS/state tax authority guidance
- May differ significantly from your actual tax liability
Tax brackets are updated annually with each App release. Between updates, rates may be outdated.
2B. Union Fringe and Benefit Hour Tracking
The App includes optional features for tracking union health and welfare (H&W) qualification hours and employer fringe contributions. These features:
- Provide estimates of fringe contributions based on rates you enter — they are NOT official union benefit records
- Do NOT replace statements from your union benefit office, pension fund, or health plan administrator
- May not reflect actual employer contributions, which can vary by contract, jurisdiction, or pay period
- Should NOT be used as the sole basis for determining your insurance eligibility or benefit status
Always verify your qualification hours and fringe contributions with your union local or benefit fund office.
2C. Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and Fringe Items
The App allows you to record Collective Bargaining Agreements ("CBAs") under each Union Local you create, and to define individual fringe items (Health & Welfare, Pension, Vacation, Annuity, etc.) under each CBA with per-hour or percentage-of-base rate values.
YOU ARE THE SOLE SOURCE OF ALL CBA AND FRINGE ITEM DATA. The App does NOT obtain CBA terms, fringe rates, qualification thresholds, or any other contract data from your Local, your union, your employer, any guild, any benefit fund, or any third party. All values are entered, edited, and maintained by you.
Specifically, the App:
- Does NOT represent, declare, or warrant the actual terms of any CBA, including but not limited to fringe contribution rates, qualifying-hour thresholds, employer obligations, eligibility rules, vesting schedules, contribution caps, or reporting requirements
- Does NOT verify, validate, or update any CBA data you enter against the actual contract on file with your Local, union, or benefit fund
- Does NOT provide tier or contract advice, nor advise which CBA applies to any particular employer, project, or shift
- Does NOT substitute for reading, understanding, or following the actual collective bargaining agreement that applies to your work
The App's "frozen fringe snapshot" feature, which captures fringe item values at the moment of clock-out, is a record of what you had entered at that time — NOT a record of the contract terms in effect at that time, and NOT a substitute for the binding language of the actual agreement.
Multi-CBA assignment, per-project CBA override, and per-shift CBA override features are organizational tools for your personal record-keeping. The App does NOT determine whether a particular CBA applies to a particular employer, project, or shift — that determination is yours alone, and depends on the actual agreement(s) you are bound by.
Always consult your Local's business agent, your CBA's actual text, and/or qualified labor counsel for any binding interpretation of contract terms, fringe entitlements, or qualifying hours.
3. Accuracy Not Guaranteed
While we strive to provide accurate calculations, D-Arn Designs does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any calculations or estimates. Factors that may affect accuracy include incorrectly entered rates or times, variations in employer pay practices, rounding differences, changes in laws or agreements, and software bugs.
4. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for verifying all calculations against your pay stubs or employer records, maintaining accurate records for tax purposes, consulting qualified professionals for financial or tax matters, and reporting your income accurately to tax authorities.
5. Not a Substitute for Official Records
Wrap Times is a personal tracking tool. Reports and calculations generated by the App are not official employment records, tax documents, or legal instruments.
6. Limitation of Liability
D-Arn Designs shall not be liable for any financial loss, tax penalty, missed income, or other damages resulting from reliance on calculations or estimates provided by the App.
