The unified Report Builder — six scopes, PDF and CSV exports.

Wrap Times' Report Builder is the same engine used to generate everything from a single shift summary to a full annual deduction worksheet. Pick a scope, set a date range, choose what to include, and export.

Six Scopes

  • Project — every shift on a single project for the chosen period. Use for invoicing or per-job summaries.
  • Client — all projects under one client, aggregated. Use for year-end client summaries.
  • All Projects — everything, period-scoped. Use for total earnings and tax planning.
  • Position — filter by one or more positions. Use to see how much a specific role earned across all clients.
  • Tag — filter by tags ("night", "rain", "holiday"). Use to track premium-condition work.
  • Expense Category — filter expenses by category across projects. Use for tax-time deduction breakdowns.

Pay Periods & Date Ranges

  • Pay period navigation — when scope is Project / Client and the client has a pay period set, arrows let you flip through past periods.
  • Custom range — set any start and end date for arbitrary date windows.
  • This week / month / year — quick presets for common ranges.
  • Forward / backward — navigate without retyping dates.

What to Include

  • Hours and earnings — always included. Tier breakdown shows base / OT / DT / TT separately.
  • Expenses — toggle to include reimbursable expenses on the report.
  • Mileage — toggle to include trip-by-trip mileage with reimbursement / deduction calculations.
  • Meal penalties — auto-included when the project tracks them.
  • Per diem — auto-included when applicable.
  • Union fringes — auto-included when the project resolves to a union profile, showing per-CBA fringe contribution estimates.
  • Receipts — image and PDF receipts append to PDF reports as additional pages.

Export Formats

  • PDF — formatted report with header, sections, totals, and (optionally) appended receipts. Use for professional documentation.
  • CSV — flat data export. Use for spreadsheet analysis or import into accounting software.
  • Live preview on macOS — split-view shows the PDF as you adjust report settings.
  • Email or Share — send straight from the export sheet.

Grand Totals

  • Library scopes (All Projects, Position, Tag, Expense Category) include grand-total rows at the bottom.
  • Grand-total formula — gross earnings + meal penalties + mileage reimbursement + reimbursable expenses.
  • Currency-aware — projects in different currencies kept separate or converted at a static rate.

Tips

  • Per-project for invoicing — generate a Project report at pay period close and use it as the basis for your invoice.
  • All Projects for tax — annual All Projects report = your year-end gross plus all deductible expenses and mileage in one document.
  • Expense Category at year-end — break out spending by category for direct entry on Schedule C.
  • Tag report for tracking premiums — see total hours and pay for "hold-over", "rain day", "night" or any custom tag.
  • Subscription gated — earnings details require Advanced tier.
