Getting Started

Your first day with Wrap Times — clock in, work, clock out, see what you earned.
Download on the App Store

Wrap Times is a time tracker built for live entertainment and production crews. The dashboard is your home base — start here.

Your Dashboard

  • The dashboard is your home base — active shift status, weekly stats, upcoming schedule, and recent work at a glance.
  • Stats update automatically when you clock in, clock out, or navigate between weeks.
  • Pull to refresh on iOS to force-sync data if anything looks stale.

Clocking In

  • Quick Clock In — tap a recent project to clock in instantly with your last-used position.
  • Project & Position — choose any active project and position from the menus if the quick option doesn't fit.
  • Set Times — expand to backdate your clock-in or pre-set an end time to log a completed shift.
  • Scheduled Shifts — upcoming call times appear at the top. Tap Clock In to start directly from a scheduled shift.

Active Shift

  • A live timer counts your hours from the moment you clock in.
  • Breaks — tap the break button to go on/off break. Meal breaks track on-clock vs off-clock time.
  • OT Progress — a color-coded bar shows how close you are to overtime, double-time, or triple-time thresholds. If today is a 6th- or 7th-day premium shift, the bar reflects the elevated starting tier from minute 0.
  • Live Earnings — shows projected gross pay if you wrapped right now.
  • Golden Time — if enabled, the dashboard highlights hours in the golden time window with their premium rate.
  • Tags & Expenses — add tags or log expenses directly from the active shift card without leaving the dashboard.
  • Min Call Countdown — if minimum call is enabled, shows hours remaining until the guarantee is met.
  • Switch — change projects or positions mid-shift without clocking out.
  • Meal Break Reminder — at clock-out, the app checks for missing breaks. Special Functions users can auto-add breaks at configured intervals.

Weekly Stats

  • Week Navigation — tap the arrows to browse past weeks. You can't go into the future.
  • Bar Chart — daily hours for the week. Today is highlighted, other days in teal.
  • Tier Breakdown — hours and earnings split across Standard, OT, DT, and Triple Time.
  • OT Threshold — a progress bar shows how close you are to triggering weekly overtime.

Projects & Recent Shifts

  • Active Projects — hours by tier, total earnings, and client name for each project with shifts.
  • Contracted Hours — if a project has a contract, a progress bar shows usage with color-coded alerts as you approach the limit.
  • Recent Shifts — your last 5 shifts with position, hours, earnings, tags, and notes preview.

Mileage From the Dashboard

  • GPS Tracking — start a trip and let your phone record the distance automatically.
  • Navigated Trip — tap a project location to start driving. GPS tracks in the background while Apple Maps gives directions; each stop logs as a separate leg when you arrive.
  • Auto Arrival — the app detects when you're within 150m of your destination and logs the leg.
  • Full mileage details: Mileage & Vehicles guide.

Tips

  • Set up a Position library first — define common roles ("Head Electrician", "Travel Day", "Stagehand") with their rates so clock-in is one tap.
  • Tags are your friend — quick labels like "night", "rain", "hold-over" let you filter reports later.
  • Don't forget meal breaks — log them as they happen so penalties calculate correctly at wrap.
  • Long-press for quick actions — many cards have hidden context menus for fast edits.
